How will you spend it, and with whom?
Last year, we tried something new at our Church.
I began to realize last fall that we had a number of people who were transplants to our area, and their family was in another state, or, in the case of two of our families, all of their family was in Nigeria and Nepal, respectively.
So, besides our annual "Church Wide Thanksgiving Dinner", which is on the Sunday afternoon preceding Thanksgiving, we decided to have a meal at the Church Fellowship Hall on Thanksgiving DAY, at which those who would otherwise be alone could come and fellowship with us. My wife and I host this, and last year it was about 50 people. This year, it might be as many as 70.
I also realize that some families have several Thanksgiving Day meals, one at home, one at the in-laws, one at grandparents, or whatever.
So, how may Thanksgiving Dinners will you attend, and with whom?
(This year, many of us who will be having the Thanksgiving DAY meal will first help serve at the Community Thanksgiving Dinner downtown)
