Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing God...
An Invitation to Worship the LORD…
    Shalom!

“Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of Your presence, LORD. They rejoice all day long in Your wonderful reputation. They exult in Your righteousness. You are their glorious strength. It pleases You to make us strong. Yes, our protection comes from the LORD…” (Psalms 89:15-18 NLT)

In the church I attend before the beginning of our 11:00 AM worship service we have what is called a “Call to Worship” or an “Invitation to Worship” whose purpose is to assist the worshippers in focusing on the LORD and why they are here. However, for those of us who have become alive with Jesus in our hearts we have a built in “Call to Worship” or an “Invitation to Worship” called the Holy Spirit. Not only upon waking up each day but throughout the entire day the Holy Spirit softly beckons to stop for a short period of time and all the Spirit to affix our thoughts on the LORD.

The Psalmist in this morning’s scripture reading points out how we can not only start out our day on a happy note but also maintain it throughout our entire day. That does not mean our day will not have its dark moments that rob us of our happiness because life is what it is. The Psalmist simply reminds us that in spite of what life is, it is not what it can become for those who accept the Spirit’s beckoning and make room for God in their busy day.

There are many definitions of what worship is. My understanding of worship is my response to intimately experiencing God. And every person alive needs at some point in their life to not only experience God, but experience Him intimately. To connect with Him in such a way that we will receive His personal assurance that He is not only our strength but our protection as well. There are those who have trouble believing God is their protection because of the bad things they experience. If God allows the “rain to fall on the just and unjust” then His protection must be at a different level of life. I see that “other level” as our eternal life / salvation granted us upon our acceptance of Jesus as our Savior.

Life and Satan may lead us down some pretty nasty roads, they may try to steal many things, but God will NOT allow them to steal our Eternal Life / Salvation from us. We may be able to give it away but to be stolen from us NO WAY!

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in
every situation. The Lord be with you all.” **
    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
