I don't think you mean it but did I disrespect her?

Even worse, did I exploit my white male privilege by allow her to assume a subservient role to me? (I don't think so but I know there are people who would say "Yes!!!"

Ya just gotta go with the flow. After a while, you get a sense of what to do.

Despite the following happening every time, you still do it.

Yes, I'm married to her, not to a stranger.

In all my adult years, even now, I have never had a negative response to my opening/holding a door for a woman. Not once.

Only one time for me when I was younger, and it was my fault. This woman came strutting up the exit with a load of shopping bags, I opened the door for her, and she almost knocked me over getting through the door with all her stuff as if I wasn't even there. I called out "you're welcome", and she turned around and gave me a pretty intense cussing.

                    My bad.

                    Apart from that, no.

                      Not as an adult

As a modern man, I think we need to treat woman equally!

...I just stand at doors waiting for women to open them for me and letting me go first. If they do, I call them a chauvinist and give them a dirty look.
