Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing God...
Christmas, a time for living in the Spirit…
    Shalom!

The Christmas season is not only about the birth of Jesus traditionally it is also giving and receiving. Christmas season occurs at two levels first it occurs at a spiritual level and secondly it occurs at a secular level. Exchanging gifts at the spiritual level consists of God giving us the gift of His Son Jesus and we in turn give our lives to God. The apostle Paul writing in Romans gives a good illustration of giving the gift of self to God this Christmas and God’s gift to us.

“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.” (Romans 8:5–6, ESV)

We give God the gift of our minds of the things of the Spirit. God gives us the gift of Life and Peace!

But the giving of gifts by God does not stop there because God keeps on giving and giving and giving. For instance, “But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.” (Romans 8:10–11, ESV)

One of the gifts that come to us when the Spirit takes up residence in our hearts brings the ability to know God in our mortal bodies. We are able to experience God is our day-to-day living! When storms wreak havoc on our lives we can experience Peace and Comfort in the midst of any storm.

One of God’s favorite hymns starts out like this, “Take my life and let it be consecrated LORD, to Thee!” He never gets tired of hearing You sing it, and he does care if you sing life chalk on a chalkboard like me. Just Sing, Sing, Sing, Sing!

You better watch out, You better not cry, Better not pout, I'm telling you why Jesus Christ is coming to YOU!

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in
every situation. The Lord be with you all.” **
    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
