Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing God...
    Jesus my… Light on a cloudy day…
    Shalom!

I suspect for many people there are more cloudy days than sunny days. I am not writing about the day that greeted you this morning I am talking about the minute details of their day-to-day life. And the clouds I am speaking of are not the white fluffy marshmallow type clouds that add dimension to a summer day I am talking about the thick dark-gray-sun-blocking-clouds. You KNOW the type of clouds I am referring to because there have been times in your life when they’ve robbed you of the sunshine positivity.

I remember as if it were yesterday a very powerful experience that occurred many years ago at my workplace. I was part of the afternoon shift crew that operated number 4 extrusion press. We had begun our lunch break and while I cannot remember the cause of the thick dark-gray-sun-blocking-clouds that evening, but do I remember sitting and praying while eating my lunch outside. I remember looking into the darkening evening sky at a thick layer of dark clouds and feeling despondent when suddenly a bright light appeared overhead behind the clouds and moved across the sky. Almost instantly the thick dark-gray-sun-blocking-clouds that were hovering over me were gone yet in my spirit I could see was the Light even though the clouds remained overhead.

Each time I reflect on that experience I am suddenly reminded of the Pillar of Light that went before the Israelites as God led them through the wilderness. I will always believe me the moving light was the Light of Jesus reminding me that even though the clouds in my life may remain he is with me and at the same time provides me the motivation to move with him. I know I’ve written this before and I’ll continue to write it as the Spirit prompts me to: The SON always SHINES for them who love him!

Again, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in
every situation. The Lord be with you all.” **
    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
