  • Justin Trudeau found guilty on conflict of interest charges

    https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/trud...ules-1.3729662

One news report said he blamed his wife for accepting the invitation.

He's, uh, an, uh, idiot, and, uh, a jerk.

His apology reminds me of the old Bob Newhart show..........Stephanie, the rich maid, who has trouble apologizing......."sorry, sorry, sorry", as if repeating the words makes it all better.

is anything gonna happen to him or is it just a slap on the wrist
"As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths." Isaiah 3:12

There is no such thing as innocence, only degrees of guilt.

It didn't work for Adam, either.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

I doubt anything will happen. He should be impeached, both him and the finance minister, who has also been found guilty on separate coi charges.

He did say "sorry", after all.

That was exactly my thinking. But it could work for little Justin.

I have no idea. If we don't, we ought to.

Is he as Frenchie as his name sounds?

if nothing else your Governor General, on behalf of Her Majesty, should be able to ask for his resignation.

He is from Quebec. As was his father, the infamous Pierre*.

Except the GG is appointed by the PM, so that might never happen.

I expect nothing will happen. His popularity will take a hit, but that has been happening anyway for several months, especially in light of the finance minister's coi scandel. Trudeau hasn't made Morneau step down, so why would he think he should.

The media will report it, then forget it. It's more important to discuss Trump's latest tweet than to keep after the PM.

The GG may be appointed by the PM, but the GG answers to the Queen, and not the PM.

Too good for him. I demand restitution.

But the GG can be influenced greatly by the PM.
