Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional, 2018 In Search of the Spiritual Jesus Prelude to Life
    Welcome to 2018…
    Shalom!

One of the neat things about Jesus is His ability to work ahead of us, for example He is already far into 2018 saying, “Come to me. Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if not, I would have told you. I am going away to prepare a place for you.” (John 14:1–2, CSB) I know this particular portion of scripture is about Jesus preparing His disciples for His impending death on the cross. However, stretch your imagination for a moment or two and see Jesus standing in the middle of 2018 where he as already prepared a place where you can rest and come in out of the storm. Jesus does that very thing, FOR YOU!

As we begin 2018 try picturing yourself in this scenario. “Some wandered in the desolate wilderness, finding no way to a city where they could live. They were hungry and thirsty; their spirits failed within them.” (Psalm 107:4–5, CSB) Ever experienced life/living that way? Are you there right now? Are you standing at the beginning of a desolate wilderness and feel being pulled in! If your answer is yes, then you need to pay particular attention to the next 3 verses in Psalm 107. “Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; he rescued them from their distress. He led them by the right path to go to a city where they could live. Let them give thanks to the LORD for his faithful love and his wondrous works for all humanity. For he has satisfied the thirsty and filled the hungry with good things.” (Psalm 107:6–9, CSB)

I’m not sure what 2018 holds in store for me and my wife, but I know this much. Psalms 107 verses 6 through 9 have proved themselves over and over in 2017 and I am standing on them as we move into and through 2018. In addition to not know what 2018 is store for me since I have no physic powers I don’t know what 2018 holds for you either but borrowing a verse from Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians, “Your eyes haven’t seen, your ears haven’t heard, your heart hasn’t held the Blessings God has planned to give you in 2018.”

The Watch Word for 2018 is Believe, believe not in the dreams and promises of the world, Believe in the Love, Compassion, Faithfulness, and Sovereignty of a God who pulls out all the stops to ensure you have every opportunity to live life to its fullest. May each and every one of you have a divine and holy 2018 moved by the Grace and Blessings of God!

“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life…” **
    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary

Amen Gary!!! A devotional so full of hope that I couldn't help but cry out loud "Amen!!!"
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (borrowed with gratitude from 37818's sig)
