Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2018 Anticipating the Spiritual Jesus the Prelude to Life
    Hope for all occasions…
    Shalom!

“I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what is the wealth of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the mighty working of his strength.” (Ephesians 1:17–19, CSB)

For the most part we walk blindly into the future although there are some things we are not blind to, as a rule the future is not ours to see. However, with our relationship with God we have a Divine pair of eyes that can see with pinpoint accuracy not only to December 31, 2018 but ALL times as well. And it is God’s good pleasure to open the eyes of your heart not necessarily the complete details of what life has in store for you but to provide you the wherewithal you need to see the saturating presence of God in your life.

In case you’re not familiar with God’s wherewithal Paul put it this way, “what is the wealth of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the mighty working of his strength.” In short God’s wherewithal is the “stuff” Hope is made of. Not Hope in its “a ride down easy street” form but Hope in its God will provide me with the strength to stand in the fiery furnace and not get burned.

I’ve used a quote from R.C. Sproul’s book “What is Faith” in the past and I want to use it again here in 2018 so, ‘…that you may know what is the hope of his calling. “In a real sense, hope is faith looking forward. The word faith carries a strong element of trust. If my hope is based on something God has said will happen in the future, the hope I have for that future promise finds its substance from my trust and confidence in the One making the promise. I can have hope because I have faith in God. Because I can trust the promise of God for tomorrow, there is substance to my hope; my hope is not just a chimera, a fantasy, or a wish projection based on idle dreams. Rather, it is based on something substantive.”*

A Hope based on God is a Prelude to Life.

“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life…” **

    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary

Amen Gary!!! It’s true that a Hope based on God is a Prelude to Life...Everlasting Life! Life and that more abundantly!
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (borrowed with gratitude from 37818's sig)
