He could get his good buddy Putin to take care of it.

But people are suspicious of his relationship with Putin, so he wouldn't do that because people would think he'd do that.

On the other hand, he knows that people would think that, but would think that he wouldn't do that because people would think that, so he'd do that after all.

Trump should institute a special punishment for people like that, journalists who dare to defy him, etc. I'd suggest a large stone table, on which the offender would be strapped and then flogged.
