The document you linked to is from a Michigan jurisdiction and clearly refers to Jorge Garcia, but Jorge Garcia is the spanish equivalent of John Smith - a very common name. I find myself wondering if there is any way to verify that this document is related to THIS Jorge Garcia. It seems odd that such an obvious court filing would be missed by every single news outlet.

I think the chance is minimal, which is why I wonder if the PDF you linked to is THIS Garcia. For them to omit a fact or not be aware of a fact is understandable. But the claim that there is NO criminal history is pretty absolute. I have sent the link to the PDF to three news outlets as a "news tip." Not that I've seen. I used the online "tip" posts. I'm not sure if they get back to everyone with the outcome. I would imagine that would be too time consuming.
