The US government has no hate speech laws and people are arrested for protesting the government's policies or actions anyway.

Protesting in speech or in print is fine. Protesting by destroying limousines and storefronts is not. Do you understand the distinction?

I watched that interview a few days ago. I usually do not have the patience to endure more than ten minutes of such things, but that easily kept me engaged for the full 29+ minutes, and I could have watched another half-hour. It was utterly fascinating to see the vastly differing mental wiring being demonstrated. I can't recall any interview ever holding my attention so well.

Either that woman was dumb as a post or she purposely misunderstood and twisted his points. I will give her the benefit of the doubt as say that she was just stupid.

Plenty of countries have liberal hate speech laws and still have outspoken conservatives. The idea that hate speech laws prevent discourse and debate is demonstrably wrong.

Do i really have to unpack all the really, really obvious fallacies here?

I honestly didn't take it either of those ways. To me, she seemed ignorant, in the most non-pejorative sense of that term. She was ideologically predisposed to disagree with him, of course, but I got the impression she was someone who had never seriously encountered and engaged with contrary evidence.

Or belt them over the head with a steering wheel lock. Though how they find self-justification possible for such activities as smashing their way through shop windows and torching cars (neither of which seem to have expressed any dis-agreement with them) ... Why, if they weren't wearing the Antifa uniform, they would be indistinguishable from fascists.

They are not handing over their stuff, so they must be Nazi’s and deserve a through beating. It makes perspective since if you don’t think about it.

OK, ignorant or stupid. But she was putting words into his mouth, claiming that he said or believed things he didn't, trying to paint him in the worse possible light.

The biggest problem with her interview technique is that she didn't keep her mouth shut and simply listen.
