Deeper Waters Forum Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

Deeper Waters is founded on the belief that the Christian community has long been in the shallow end of Christianity while there are treasures of the deep waiting to be discovered. Too many in the shallow end are not prepared when they go out beyond those waters and are quickly devoured by sharks. We wish to aid Christians to equip them to navigate the deeper waters of the ocean of truth and come up with treasure in the end.

We also wish to give special aid to those often neglected, that is, the disabled community. This is especially so since our founders are both on the autism spectrum and have a special desire to reach those on that spectrum. While they are a special emphasis, we seek to help others with any disability realize that God can use them and that they are as the Psalmist says, fearfully and wonderfully made.

again read Romans. it explains what happens to those "who never even heard" -- they will be judged on their own conscience and sins. Justly.
Being judged on ones own conscience and sins means your're going to hell Sparko, that's why Jesus is needed as a savior, or don't you understand how your religion works?
I am sick of going in circles with you JimL. You are either just trolling at this point or you are a complete moron. Which might work in your favor on judgment day because those who can't understand right from wrong, like children and the mentally retarded will be saved too. So you might have a chance.
Perhaps you are sick of going in circles because you are incapable of talking straight. And btw, doesn't your religion teach that right and wrong, good and evil, is supposed to be written on our hearts?

Methinks that Jimmy doth protest too much.
Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

It has been estimated that the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:2-16) could conceivably house some 400 trillion individuals. To get an idea how many persons that would be, if one person was born evey second, it would take just over 31,000 years for one trillion (1,000,000,000,000) persons to be born.

You really suck at logic don't you? That's a lot of people existing before Jesus, not to mention that many living in the times of Jesus never heard of him either. So, why don't you speak to the point instead of playing word games? None of those people believed in Jesus, so they all go to hell, yes or no?

Someone said to a master, “What about the people who have never heard of Christ? Are they all automatically damned to Hell? Tell me; I have heard that you have studied this question.”

The master said, “What you need to be saved is for you to believe in Christ, and you have heard of him.”

That's right! Blast the children in other nations into eternity, or limbless misery as they lay crippled from "OUR" bombers! This does not jell." - Leonard Ravenhill

Gee what happened to the "billions" who never heard of Christ, JimL? oops.

                  as to your question:

I already answered your question several times. I will do it again:

God's people, from Adam till Jesus were covered by the Noahide Law and then the Old Covenant. As well as anyone who wanted to join them. Those outside, who worshiped other gods, were on their own. When they stood before God on Judgment day, God judged them on their own sins based on their own conscience. If they did what they knew was wrong, even if they did not know God's Law, then they were admitting they were guilty. That is what the book of Romans said, which I quoted for you earlier.

Jesus came to give us a new covenant, that those who called on him would be saved without having to follow the Law. Those who do not know of him now still have to face their own conscience when they stand before God. Just as you will. But now that you know about Jesus, you don't have to face God on your own. You can call on Jesus to save you. But the deadline is your death. You have your entire life to call on Jesus, but no more.

Just because you don't like the system or think it is unfair, doesn't make it not true. What you think does not matter.

Not believing in something is rather a rejection, yes?

For some like JimL I believe it is. He hates God, not just disbelieves in him. But I think there are some out there who just have not really even considered it. Maybe they were just brought up to not believe in God and don't even think about it. They have no animosity.

Everyone who has lived and had never heard of Jesus is going straight to hell, isn't that right Sparko? So face it, you believe in an unjust God, and that's all there is to it.

That's just dumb. You can't hate that which you don't believe even exists. Dumb, dumb, dumb. I can and do hate what I believe to be your fantasy idea of god, but that's hating your fantasy, not god.

Yes, they go to hell because they are sinners and have never heard of your god, and you do not go to hell because, though you are no better than them, you too are sinners, but god gave to you what he didn't give to them, right? Why can't you just admit that what you believe in is unjust?
