Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s 2018 Experiencing Jesus, the Prelude to Life
    Unified body, mind, and spirit…
    Shalom!

“Finally, all of you, have unity of mind.” (1st Peter 3:8 ESV)

Of all the goals we need to establish and aggressively pursuit first and foremost should be to live out our lives in God’s Eternal Kingdom, keeping in mind that our citizenship does not begin at the point our spirits leave this world but here and now. Of all the goals God has set for himself first and foremost is that we become citizens of his Eternal Kingdom and he desires that goal be fulfilled here and now this very day.

Peter had firsthand knowledge of the difficulties of maintaining citizenship in God’s Eternal Kingdom…

“About that time Herod the king laid violent hands on some who belonged to the church. He killed James the brother of John with the sword, and when he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter also. This was during the days of Unleavened Bread. And when he had seized him, he put him in prison, delivering him over to four squads of soldiers to guard him, intending after the Passover to bring him out to the people. So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church.” (Acts 12:1 – 12:5 ESV)

“And immediately the rooster crowed a second time. And Peter remembered how Jesus had said to him, ‘Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.’” And he broke down and wept.” (Mark 14:72 ESV)

Peter knew from experience that it would take a unified body, mind, and spirit to walk the way of the Kingdom. And from experience Peter also knew as united as he needed to be he knew he couldn’t do it alone yet if he did his part he knew Jesus would do the rest. The people of the church prayed for Peter and Jesus sent an angel to free him. Peter repented of denying Jesus was forgiven and went on to leave an indelible mark on world history.

One of Satan’s loudest battle cry is “Divide and Conquer” yet in spite of his best efforts God has a bigger more powerful plan, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me. When you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you, declares the LORD…” (Jeremiah 29:11 – 29:14 ESV)

Unity of mind begins with you and through your dedication to God’s Eternal Kingdom and your prayers ends with Jesus Christ!

“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life…” (John 14:6)

    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
