There's a whole lot more evidence that you're a NAMBLA supporter than that I'm a Trump supporter, boy.

You cast a vote for Trump, own the responsibility for your actions.

Which is FAR different from "supporting" the guy. At best, it was a very temporary past tense thing.

It's fascinating that as a "Christian" and as a conservative who's usually in favor of "personal responsibility", that you run from taking personal responsibility for your own actions.

I voted against Hillary. Proudly. She's not POTUS, and for that, I take full responsibility. No running from my actions whatsoever!

You know, Star, there are a lot of people in the states who voted for Trump but don't actually "support" him. They didn't donate to him. They don't think he's a particularly good president. They'd rather he wasn't president. But they felt that their vote at that time was best used to keep Hillary from succeeding. I am the first to say that people don't vote AGAINST people - they vote FOR people, so clearly the person they voted for was, at least in some respects, more desireable than the opposition. But it is a bit of a leap from that vote to active support.

Maybe it's just time to let this one go and move on?

That being said - I',m sticking my nose where it doesn't belong - so I'll leave it at that.

I really wanted one of the other Republican candidates to win (Kasich) but Trump won the nomination. So I voted for Trump.

I don't like him as a person, but as POTUS I have been generally impressed by his willingness to keep him campaign promises, even though I don't agree with all of them (I think the wall is a boondoggle) and even though he couldn't get anything done with the healthcare thing (because of congress). I am less impressed with the way he runs his staff, constantly hiring and firing people left and right, and I definitely don't like his tweeting and acting juvenile.

So like Cow Poke, I am not a Trump "supporter" like say, Mountain Man and Demi are. But I am relatively pleased with him as President so far. Unless the democrats can pick a really good candidate in 2020 that I can agree with, I will vote for Trump again. Or better yet, hoping he doesn't run again and maybe Pence or some other Republican will run instead. I actually do like Pence and think he would make a better president than Trump.

I recognize the deep hatred most on the right had for Ms. Clinton. It's the primary reason I thought she was a mistake as a candidate. From my perspective, the hatred for her was the primary reason we have a buffoon like Trump in the White House. As for Mr. Trump - he is indeed continuing to push forward with his campaign promises. I hope he continues to do exactly that. Ironically, Trump is doing to those who are NOT part of his base exactly what the left did for so long to those who ARE part of his base: ignoring and villifying them. As long as he keeps doing exactly that, his approval rating will stay low, which will increase the probability of a wave election in 2018, and a new president in 2020. Trump seems to forget that he won by less than 100,000 votes in three states. His choices/actions are firing up the left and moderates to oppose him, which we've seen in every election since Nov. 8, 2016. Meanwhile, some of his moderate support is getting lukewarm on him due to his behavior. In general, only his core base remains fired up about him. I suspect he will find it is not enough.

Kasich would have been awful. He would have been so obsessed with pleasing the opposing party and the liberal media that it would have been little different than having a Democrat in the White House.
