Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s 2018 Experiencing Jesus, the Prelude to Life
    The Road to success…
    Shalom!

Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2)

The world has its own road to success, paved with “this and that” it’s a twisting and winding road where survival of the fittest is the standard by which it is measured. However, even though success’ lure seems to be the right road to take in the end it proves to be a road to nowhere ending in a pile of nothing at the bottom of a cliff.

There is another Road to success, a Road less traveled, a Road excavated by Jesus Himself out of the process of living in a fallen world. The Jesus Road to success some say it must be traveled with patience, but as important as patience is, alone it doesn’t give us the winning edge. To have the winning edge we need to have the spirit of longsuffering. The Women’s Study Bible provides valuable insight into longsuffering and how it relates to all aspects of life especially the Jesus Road to success.

“Longsuffering encompasses patience, endurance, steadfastness, and forbearance. It is an active response to opposition, not a passive resignation to the inevitable. An important word in both Hebrew and Greek, “longsuffering” is an attribute of God (Ps. 86:15), a fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:22), and an attitude all women (all people) should desire to reflect in their lives (1 Cor. 13:4)… Christians can become longsuffering through the power of the Holy Spirit. Believers who walk in the Spirit develop a longsuffering attitude that no circumstance can destroy and patience that no person can defeat (Eph. 4:1–3).” (emphasis mine)

The Jesus Road to success is not about things, it’s about overcoming the roadblocks and detours life puts in our path. It paves the way for God to Bless us with what we need or give us the strength to work at fulfilling them ourselves. One last thing you cannot walk the Jesus Road to success alone you need to walk with the Holy Spirit because, “…the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22-23, NKJV)

“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life…” (John 14:6)

    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
