Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s 2018 Experiencing Jesus, the Prelude to Life
    Who you are thinking about!
    Shalom!

“I keep the LORD in mind always. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my spirit rejoices; my body also rests securely. For You will not abandon me to Sheol; You will not allow Your Faithful One to see decay.” (Psalms 16:8-10)

Not a day goes by but what at some point I don’t mess up, and when I put my life up against Jesus’ standard, there are a whole lot of points! And for some reason when I am messing up no matter how hard I try to push the LORD out of my thoughts he just won’t go. No matter how hard I try, I cannot get past the fact that in my imagination the LORD is always looking over my shoulder. And quite frankly, I LOVE IT!

Whoa! Don’t get the idea that I love messing up, even though there are some pretty enjoyable things to mess up with. But because I have chosen to walk the path of Jesus I do not enjoy messing up because it dishonors his sacrifices for me. Yet out of his infinite and ultimate love for me, “Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” In other words, when I mess up and find myself in the midst of the resulting storm because of God’s infinite and ultimate love I will not be abandoned in the storm and left to its fate but instead rest in the peace of Jesus’ continued presence through the Holy Spirit.

Here’s the cool part about keeping my mind on the LORD’s infinite and ultimate love especially when messing up, instead of my faith in a decaying mode it is in a deepening and strengthening mode! Oh, and before I forget an integral part of keeping our minds on the LORD is the continuing need to walk with a broken and contrite heart in the spirit of repentance.

Now for the good part – what the LORD does for me HE WILL DO FOR YOU! All you need to do is to keep your mind on HIM! And what’s even better – the LORD ALWAYS KEEPS HIS MIND ON YOU! The Psalmist gives us the reason to keep the LORD fresh in our minds, “LORD, You are my portion and my cup of blessing; You hold my future.” (Psalms 16:5)

“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life…” (John 14:6)

    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
