Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s 2018 Experiencing Jesus, the Prelude to Life
    Jesus wants ALL of you!
    Shalom!

“When Jesus heard this, he told him, “You still lack one thing: Sell all you have and distribute it to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” After he heard this, he became extremely sad, because he was very rich.” (Luke 18:22–23, CSB)

Can you imagine something as incredible as this? “…he became extremely sad, because he was very rich…” Have you ever heard of someone being sad because they had to much money? I’ve never met one, but Jesus did and according to the bible Jesus watched the rich man walk sadly away. Can you imagine walking away from the Kingdom of God? I heard a television preacher yesterday say, “God doesn’t mind if you have money, He just doesn’t want money to have you.” That is what Jesus’ point was, “You can take your money into the Kingdom, but your money can’t take You into the Kingdom.”

This may come as a surprise to some, but life isn’t about money or possessions! If you want or need living proof grab your wallet or purse pull out any one or higher dollar bill and you’ll see the picture of a United States President on the front, a DEAD President. See what I mean?

At the root of what Jesus was asking the man in the scripture above and what he is asking you and I, “Will you give your life and all that it encompasses to me in the interest of the Kingdom?” If you stop and think for a minute about your own life and what Jesus is really asking for you might be surprised. Remember money, possessions, your career, your social status will mean nothing at the Gate of Eternity. A fancy expensive foreign sports car may get you to the Gate but it won’t get you in.

Minutes after I wrote the question I found myself asking Jesus a question. “Jesus, do you really want my pulmonary fibrosis, every other heath issue, and all my mental and emotional storms?” And deep in my heart I felt Him saying, “Yes, I want all of you, leave nothing out. Only perfection will do in heaven therefore I want to give you a perfect life you will need to live here.”

A couple of things before signing off for today. First, Jesus wants all of you too, everything. And lastly, I’ll bet Jesus was sadder then the man in the scripture as he watched the man walking away from the greatest blessing anyone could ever have. If you know someone who fits that description, please pray for them and forward this to them. Thank you.

“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life…” (John 14:6)

    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
