I just checked the source. This isn't a library policy. It's part of a series of research guides, which are introductions to topics. This is one of three topics under political science. So this is an introduction for people interested in understanding (some) political scientists' understanding of oppression. I'm not an admirer of this approach, but it's useful to understand what the document is and isn't.

Lot of black people do the same thing.

Are blacks racist against Asians and Hispanics?

The only "news sites" carrying this 'article' are right-wing ones which probably says all that we need know about it's accuracy.

You evince a distinct lack of ability to distinguish between "its" and "it's" which probably says all that we need know about your accuracy. Just sayin'.

That's one of those that I have to "think through"... am I saying "it is" (it's) or am I using a possessive (its). Its gonna bite me again, I'm sure.

              Yeah, I did that!

Or it's simply not the sort of story that the left wing MSM is interested in carrying

My understanding is that people once said "God bless you" after a person sneezes because they believed the soul escapes the body during a sneeze, and by asking God's blessing, it would return quickly back to the body before Satan could snatch it. So yes, I get offended when somebody suggests an old superstition. I'm a Christian, and Satan isn't going to snatch my soul when I sneeze.

                      I prefer saying "Gesundheit."

I've heard an alternate explanation was that it was seen as a sign of oncoming sickness, and they were effectively praying that the person got better soon, and didn't get any worse.

Having read it, I can see what they are saying even if I disagree with it. The fact is that a workplace does get to define how it's employees interact with the public.

The URL took you right to it without showing you where it is. It's a summary of a particular topic in political science. It's not rules for a workplace.

They were not making microaggressions against me. They were wishing me well and enjoyment of their holiday. If someone wished me Happy Ramadan, I would say, "Happy Ramadan to you to my friend!" - That is what normal, non paranoid people do. They don't take offense at other cultures or religions or expressions of the people who belong to them.
Normally if someone says something like "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Hannukah" it's because they know or think you are celebrating that holiday.

I said if they invited you into their home and they had a shrine or something religious there. You said "Taking someone to their place of worship" as if it were unwillingly. I was making a joke based on that to point out the absurdity of your strawman argument.
Even taking you to a shrine in their home and giving you a blessing is weird behavior unless they know or think you are of the same religion.

Apparently everything, PM. You seem to be offended if people assume others are part of their culture instead of recognizing they might be of a different culture, and then you turn around and think that it is offensive to assume someone is from a different culture and ask where are they from.

With you liberals, it is always lose-lose and you get offended no matter what.
You are making it out to be way more complicated than it really is. All you should do is not stereotype people and not assume people are Christian unless you have evidence.

Anyone who stereotypes people because of their race is acting racist.
