Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s 2018 Experiencing Jesus, the Prelude to Life
Jesus did it JUST for YOU…
    Shalom!

“We have met the enemy and the enemy is us,” I am not sure who first said those famous words, but I believe in them. I remember many years ago sitting in a Sunday school class discussing the Kingdom of God and as I was sitting there I suddenly realized there is only one person on the face of the earth who can keep me from becoming a citizen of God’s Kingdom and that person was me. In my imagination, I saw others taking me to gates of the kingdom and telling me, “This is as far as we can take you, now you must walk into the kingdom accompanied only by Jesus.”

Today as I reflect on my life, I can see the many times I’ve walked as far away from the kingdom as I could get. And now all these years later when I look at the man in the mirror I no longer see myself as an enemy, I see myself as a man with a broken spirit and a humble heart hungering and thirsting for the path of the righteousness of Jesus and the Kingdom of God.

“He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he pulled me out of deep water. He rescued me from my powerful enemy and from those who hated me, for they were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the LORD was my support. He brought me out to a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.” (Psalm 18:16–19)

As Easter Sunday approaches throughout the Lenten Season, I have thought long and hard about Jesus standing outside his tomb then reaching back in and pulling us out one at a time. God’s love for us has been tried and proven to be ultimate and far more powerful and penetrating than any power on earth or hell! We are more than just citizens of God’s Kingdom on Earth we are Children of the Resurrection, we are God’s greatest miracles!

14 days from today we will commemorate the day Jesus’ earthly life ended if he could say anything to us I wonder what he would say. I wonder what scriptures he’d like us to think about. I wonder what he’d want us to do as we prepare ourselves for the ultimate blessing of the Father.

“The sacrifice pleasing to God is a broken spirit. You will not despise
a broken and humbled heart, God.” (Psalm 51:17)

    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
