It's not uncommon at all for schools to reach out to non-profits for assistance.

I don't understand your objection to the example. You would prefer teenagers and young adults be left to their own devices after reading/watching 50 Shades?

You also haven't really answered my question.

You wouldn't be happy if "we the government" decided that teaching religion in school was appropriate, would you?
Teaching comparative religion in schools is part of education...all educated people need to know what people believe and have believed throughout history. Just as educated people need to be taught about sex in all it's forms uncontaminated by religious beliefs as well as the practise of safe sex.

Are you kidding, of course 50 shades should not be taught in schools. And I don't know what kind of parent lets their kid read or watch 50 shades. Never mind the fact that growing up in the 50-60s I had exactly two sex ed classes, and those were about STDs and using protection. What else is needed? There is no reason to be teaching kids how to navigate the wonderful world of bondage. These people really are morally insane...

That's for a different argument. I actually agree that sex ed shouldn't teach weird creepy stuff. That's what the internet is for.

There’s a difference between teaching math, reading, science etc and teaching sexual morals. Parents have the right to teach their children their sexual morals.

Actually I'm not sure what the law is on that anyway, do you know?
Not a parent, are you? You have no clue what child abuse looks like.

I’m fairly sure there’s steps between the extremes of schools teach something and it isn’t taught at all.

It certainly helps that the things that ought to be taught in school should help one find a job and become a useful member of society.

Which sex ed of the nature suggested by PP and women's studies and climate change protests and gun law protests and other social issue-type crap do not do.

Instead we have kids hooked on porn at an early age and don't have the maturity to handle it, and kids who eat Tide pods one month and then think they know all about the constitution the next.

The idiots who run the school curriculum apparently don't realize that these kids are going to be running the country one day.

                    God help us all.

Who is pushing this stuff, also normalizing it?

Who is trying to sexualize children at early age??

Who is trying to introduce them to perverted, also deviant practices???

Is anyone here actually doing that? Some folks don't think PP is doing what the article says and others are talking about sex ed going too far. I don't think anyone in this thread thinks children should be taught about the gross stuff some adults do. Teens might already know it if they went to the internet to satisfy their morbid curiosity. Wikipedia, not porn!

Teaching religion and teaching kids to be religious are 2 different things. If you want your kids to be indoctrinated then send them to religious schools.

Yes, they do. And who is stopping them?

Don't have to be a parent to recognise, or understand child abuse.

The purpose of the training described in that flyer is to oppose 50 Shades, not promote it.
