  • Most "amen"able post!

Let us figure out what would make the most amenable post!

How about, "act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God"?
If it weren't for the Resurrection of Jesus, we'd all be in DEEP TROUBLE!

That would be every single one of Jed's posts as he has it in his signature.

Securely anchored to the Rock amid every storm of trial, testing or tribulation.

Hurray, I win. But, seriously, are there not other criteria that might come into play to make a post "amenable?" How about an apt post or one that opens a new area to be examined.
Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

        Hmm...

What are some good criteria for an amenable post?

Something great happened to the poster in the post(they just got their degree, loved one recovered from a disease, they got married, they had a kid, someone had a birthday)

        Something sad happened

They made a wonderful point that the reader agreed with

The post that I can remember getting the most amens was on the old TWeb when an atheist who had been posting for awhile, asking sincere questions about Christianity, announced that he had become a Christian.
"I am not angered that the Moral Majority boys campaign against abortion. I am angry when the same men who say, "Save OUR children" bellow "Build more and bigger bombers." That's right! Blast the children in other nations into eternity, or limbless misery as they lay crippled from "OUR" bombers! This does not jell." - Leonard Ravenhill

No post is more or less "amen"able than any other post. As proof of that I just amen'd every single post in this thread before this post.

What if we change the description from "amenable" to "amen worthy?"
Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Good thing I haven't posted here then

I'm always still in trouble again

"You're by far the worst poster on TWeb" and "TWeb's biggest liar" --starlight (the guy who says Stalin was a right-winger)
"Overall I would rate the withdrawal from Afghanistan as by far the best thing Biden's done" --Starlight
"Of course, human life begins at fertilization that’s not the argument." --Tassman

                        This one, apparently.
Enter the Church and wash away your sins. For here there is a hospital and not a court of law. Do not be ashamed to enter the Church; be ashamed when you sin, but not when you repent. – St. John Chrysostom
