Rosen was named a "criminal co-conspirator" under the Espionage Act of 1917 in order to gain access to his personal emails and phone records at the direction of Eric Holder. It was only the outcry of the public and other journalists that stopped the intended prosecution, but not for lack of trying on the part of the Obama administration.

A very creative way of saying One Bad Pig was wrong. No journalists were in fact prosecuted for saying bad things about Obama. In fact, the entire conservative media consistently “said bad things about Obama” for 8 years relentlessly, and in many cases foolishly (birtherism, feet on Oval Office desk) without worrying about being prosecuted.

I was quoting Bannon. Bannon is the one who said Trump’s firing of Comey amplified the scrutiny Trump’s currently experiencing. He literally called it “one of the biggest mistakes in modern political history.”
