Apologetics 301 Guidelines

If you think this is the area where you tell everyone you are sorry for eating their lunch out of the fridge, it probably isn't the place for you

This forum is open discussion between atheists and all theists to defend and debate their views on religion or non-religion. Please respect that this is a Christian-owned forum and refrain from gratuitous blasphemy. VERY wide leeway is given in range of expression and allowable behavior as compared to other areas of the forum, and moderation is not overly involved unless necessary. Please keep this in mind. Atheists who wish to interact with theists in a way that does not seek to undermine theistic faith may participate in the World Religions Department. Non-debate question and answers and mild and less confrontational discussions can take place in General Theistics.

No, according to the author of the book of Acts.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

Jim, as I posted earlier Peter acknowledges that they have accepted Paul as one of their own and that his writings are scripture. So no, Paul isn't some false prophet that Jesus warned about.

2 Peter 3:15 Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. 16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

Paul was an apostle and accepted by the church as a writer of scripture.

PS - Peter said you are "ignorant and unstable."

As related by Paul, Luke wasn't there.

Sounds like the argument a fraud would make. Anyway, many if not most biblical scholars think 2 Peter was not written by the disciple due to the belief that Peter was martyred long before 2 Peter was written. So who was the auther? Partner in crime perhaps?

Acts was divinely inspired, so blame God. God was there.

Jim is like the little kid on the playground who starts an argument and when the truth is pointed out to him, just keeps repeating, 'Is not!".

Yeah, at this point, it's pointless.

So god related the events as they are recorded in Acts to Luke?

I don't believe Jim has any Christian family members as he says. It's only according to Jim. Nobody else here is an eyewitness. So he must be lying.
