Paris Anyone?

I have a goal of going to Paris in about a couple of years from now. I'm a member of Toastmasters and this organization is having their international convention in Paris during the summer of 2020. Has anyone here on this DB been to Paris? If so, what was it like?

If I go to Paris, I might also travel to Belgium or Luxembourg. Has anyone here on this DB been to either of those two countries?

I went to Québec City and Montréal for my honeymoon, that's as close to France as I've been.

Switzerland is expensive. I don't know about other European countries.

I have been to Paris, but it has been a while. I remember important things , like it is hard to find a free public bathroom, and when I spoke in my limited High School French, Parisians spoke back in English. There were a lot of great things to see though - not sure what you are interested in.
