You see, OBP, it's not just that they support what Trump is doing policy-wise, they are (mostly) refusing to call him on his wide range of immoral acts and character flaws. The message I'm seeing is, "pretty much everything is forgiven, because you are enacting the policies we like."

I'm not seeing it, but I'm not exactly plugged in to Evangelical Christianity either. His (lack of) sexual morals are old news; I rather suspect that current violations would not be tolerated. The racist thing seems way overblown, and the "lies" can often be easily seen to be exaggerated rhetoric not intended to be taken at face value. Ya'll keep crying "wolf" at silly stuff like that, and y'all wonder why you're being tuned out.

It would be helpful to explore why and with what qualifications white evangelicals support Trump, but that would hamper your narrative, and we can't have that.

Likewise we all accept climate change because Al Gore writes us all checks. It's not as if our own countries have our own scientists and government agencies who can analyse that sort of thing. ...Or it could be that the US is quite corrupt and that the US right has been indoctrinated by the Kochs and big oil and the NRA and religious zealots, but that seems waaaaay less likely than the entire rest of the world being in on a global conspiracy targeted at US right-wingers.
