About half my favorite US media personalities are Jewish, as is my favorite US politician who I hope will be the next president. They're left-wingers and not particularly fans of the actions of the current Israeli government either, and they are usually quick to point out that supporting Jewish people doesn't mean supporting whatever the current crazy right-wing Israeli government happens to be doing.Originally posted by Sparko View Post

Of course I do, many going back to my childhood in the 50s. I am actually a minority in my neighborhood - largely Latino, blacks are the next largest group, whites the smallest group. Over the years I lived with blacks, for a while, back in the 80s. I have more recent black friends who were born and raised in Jamaica. Who BTW are even more conservative and religious than me. I had another black friend, Kevin, who was going through a bad divorce (he too was from Jamaica) who committed suicide two years ago.
