"A Federal Judge has rejected a request to rehang a controversial painting depicting police officers as animals that drew national headlines earlier this year after Republican lawmakers repeatedly removed it from a display inside the U.S. Capitol complex....It depicts police officers with the animalistic features of a pig or warthog along with symbolic elements of the 2014 shooting of unarmed black teen Michael Brown by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. "A fetus is not an 'unborn child'!:

Washington Post Columnist Gene Weingarten 1/19/18:
I am an unreconstructed liberal ....I have written this in The Post before: I think the fundamental difference between pro-choice and anti-abortion people is not about a political disagreement or even an intellectual disagreement. I think it is entirely visceral, almost primitive. I believe that aborting a first trimester fetus is not "killing a baby." You, presumably, do. That's where this giant political issue incubates. I am not in favor of "killing babies." But If I genuinely think that a 12-week fetus is not a "baby," I am not pro-death, and I deeply
resent your labeling me as such.

Why I'm More Pro-Choice After Becoming A Mother

See, I’ve known people who had abortions at 14 weeks and to them it was not a baby, it was a fetus, a collection of cells.

Rosemary Mac Cabe - a blogger, journalist and TV panellist based in Dublin: Here’s why I’m pro-choice: a beginners’ guide
The 8th amendment doesn’t just hurt women seeking abortions
The 8th amendment to the Irish Constitution essentially places the life of the unborn – that is, the life of a fertilised embryo, from the moment it is confirmed as such – on a par with the life of the mother. So that, if you wish to terminate your pregnancy; if you wish to halt the growth of cells (that may or may not become a baby), you are denied the right to do so based on the fact that the Irish Government has decided that group of cells is as valuable as you are. Your worth is measured as being exactly equal to a fertilised embryo the size of a grape.

The Day I Learned Aborted Fetuses Aren’t People
    Oct 19, 2015, 10:01am - Amy Littlefield
"For the vast majority of patients, who were in the first trimester of pregnancy, the answer was: tiny. More than 90 percent of abortions occur at or before 13 weeks of pregnancy, when the embryo or fetus ranges from little more than a bundle of cells to no more than a few inches long....
Yet even as I took part in hundreds of abortions as a counselor, I think on some level, I still wondered if seeing second-trimester fetal tissue could shake my pro-choice views. Then one day, I was offered the unusual opportunity to see the fetus of a patient who had been close to 22 weeks pregnant. With some trepidation, I accepted. I looked. And in that moment, my pro-choice position crystallized. While it was shaped like a baby, what I was looking at was not a person. It was a fetus. A fetus my patient had chosen not to make into a baby. I felt no attachment to it. Relieved, I stepped into the recovery room to check on my patient. Years later, looking back on this moment, it’s still the patient I think about, not the fetus"

It is sort of odd how all these news sources have somehow simultaneously omitted references to the MS-13 gang. Maybe they are all using the same spell checker which replaces MS-13 with child immigrants.

He wasn't specifically talking about only MS-13, nor was he talking about all immigrants and wannabe immigrants.

Nonetheless calling people "animals" is unacceptable dehumanizing language in any context. Even the worst criminals or terrorists are people, they are not animals, and he should be ashamed of saying otherwise.
The unborn are also people whether you like it or not. MS-13 has done the dehumanization in this case - behaving like senseless animals. Calling them animals is at least as accurate as lots of the lies about the NRA.

News outlets including the Associated Press and The New York Times took comments from Trump regarding MS-13 gang members out of context Wednesday, misleading readers to believe he referred to immigrants generally as “animals.”

When these outlets and journos were called out for their extremely misleading reporting, many of them chose to defend MS-13 rather than walk back their criticism of Trump. This is a gang with the motto, “kill, rape, control.”

This manifests itself in a wide range of things:
                      - Torture? No biggie for them.

                      - Wars? The Muslims need to be bombed back to the stone age, and if it kills civilians, so what?
                      - Death penalty? Criminals don't deserve to live.
                      - Mass shootings? Just the price of 'Freedom'.
                      - Inhumane treatment of prisoners in prisons? They're criminals, who cares.
                      - Lack of healthcare for the poor? They're poor, they don't really matter.
                      - Inhumane treatment of immigrants and ICE behaving like a terrorist organisation? Illegals are all criminals anyway.
                      etc.

The consistent lack of love and concern for fellow humans and lack of interest in right-treatment of them (aka 'human rights') is constantly stunning. And dehumanizing language is regularly used to justify it all. Any anytime such topics are discussed the response is "BuT AbOrTiOn!!!"
