I suspect this poll's going to suffer from the "I'm not racist, but..." phenomena. People in the US have learned to say they're not racist when directly asked, and hence will say that they don't dislike Latinos (or simply choose not to respond to the poll if they know they're going to be truthfully forced to vote for the 'wrong' answer), but will turn around and advocate for policies that are based on a dislike of Latinos or that are pretty unsubtle about the racist motivations of them. In short, if you take a bunch of racists and poll them as to whether they are racist, they will nearly all vote no.

Its just starlight calling everyone who disagrees with him right-wing racists yet again.

I'm always still in trouble again

Having been through the convoluted rigamarole that is the ball of red tape that passes for an immigration process in the US, I completely sympathise with even the illegal ones. As long as they're here to make a better life for their families, I don't have a problem. It's the ones who are known criminals who are allowed back in again and again instead of being put into prison in Mexico that I have a problem with. And that goes for any nationality, not just Mexicans.

Declaring ahead of time that the evidence will not fit your claims seems to be an admission that you know you're wrong.

Most of my neighbors are Latino, from Mexico or Guatemala. They are great hard working people, largely Catholic, they are not much different than the Italian immigrants I grew up with.

I suspect that if President Trump were to vote in this poll that he would truthfully select the "no" option. He's never said he dislikes immigrants in general, Mexican or otherwise. What he has spoken out against are illegal immigrants and those who have no regard for our laws, and on that point, I'm in full agreement with our President.

Or, maybe, many years of reading posts here has given me a more accurate sense of what posters think than whether they tick one box or another?

I've stated what I think the outcome of your poll will be. I expect the evidence to fit that claim. I view your methodology as poor, however, given what you are trying to determine.

In the world of Starlight if you disagree, you’re a racist and are forever stuck trying to prove the negative that you’re not a racist. Of course, what makes it funny is how he calls us all closet racist while defending the highly racist MS-13. I wonder if he knows that there’s documented cases of MS-13 targeting people for their race. Another day, another Starlight Strawman to deal with...

Or, it could simply be true that none of us dislike Mexican immigrants!

Or, maybe, many years of reading posts here through the prism of your incredibly radical leftist worldview has given you a perverted sense of what you think posters think, rather than what they actually think!

I grew up in Southern California with plenty of friends and relatives that are Latino. In Starlight land though, if you disagree you’re a ‘closet racist’ and forever have to prove you’re not.

Reading your post has shown me you’ll just make up what you want to believe and screw what the evidence says.
