The argument favored by the left was that Obama was backed up by a seasoned vice president, so it was OK that his political resume could fit on one side of a business card with room left over.

The Senate Intelligence Committee released a report on Tuesday largely underlining what the US intelligence community said in January 2017: Russia interfered in the 2016 US presidential election to help elect Donald Trump.

      1. To be more precise he said that not a single vote was changed nor was the election outcome affected by their attempted meddling.
      Meddling, NOT "attempted meddling".

We have no way of knowing whether or not people changed their voting on this basis.

Moreover, FBI director Christopher Wray declared at a conference held at the Aspen Institute for Humanistic Studies (a think tank that US News & World Report ranks as centrist) that "[The Russians] do not tamper in our infrastructure. They try to destabilize the integrity of our system by usually backing losers and getting the losers all upset claiming something went awry, and that promotes disharmony and distrust of the election system." And the left is doing just what they hoped for.
Well the US is certainly destabilised, so it must be working.

So how much space would Trump's "political resume" require?

And arguably being off-the-cuff, and gruff, like he was was, was part of why he won. So if the Republicans are abandoning decorum and winning on it, don't be surprised if liberals are going to up the ante on that thing.

The difference between Trump and Obama is that Trump has decades of real-world executive experience managing a successful worldwide business empire and maintaining friendly international relations with a wide variety of countries and world leaders.

Obama, on the other hand, was a no-account "community organizer" who rarely showed up for work and spent his career as a senator voting "present".

There's a reason Trump in only two-years has accomplished far more than Obama did in eight to the point that a recent The Daily Beast editorial was whining that Trump has effectively reduced Obama's "legacy" to little more than a footnote in presidential history.

Even CNN has been forced to admit that Trump can't seem to stop winning.

You mean that he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, was given $413 million from his daddy, and lost it all, going bankrupt numerous times, lost any ability to aquire loans from the American banks whose money he lost, and who was only saved by Russian run banks and illegal Russian oligarch money laundered by him through his real estate holdings. In other words a losing, tax cheating fraud and crook.

Community organizer by choice when he could have easily made a fortune had he chose to, coming out of Harvard, president of the Harvard law review. I know, character and ethics is not one of your strong suits, MM, after all you are a Trump supporter.

What did he accomplish? Obama reduced the unemployment rate from 10% to 4%. Trump inherited that process and the rate went down another 0.3%, wow! Amazing! Trump is all talk, and his supporters are a mix between unethical, selfish wealthy people and the naive/brainless sheep that will stick with him even should he shoot someone on 5th ave in broad daylight..

I'm not saying that lack of experience isn't a legitimate criticism against either. I simply questioned your assertion that Obama had less experience than Palin when such a thing is hard to quantify given the differing positions they served in previously.

The office of governor is much more analogous to that of the President than is a senator.

Instead of looking at job titles, look at what each actually accomplished in their respective offices. Palin did a heck of a lot more as governor than Obama did as senator.

To a considerably lesser extent so is being a mayor.

Wait until the Mid Terms when the braggadocios charlatan gets his comeuppance. Trump's popularity is way down except among his Evangelical supporters
