Apparently the Camera Hogg is in New York as part of his publicity tour for his book -- accompanied by armed guards. I thought he said armed guards wasn't the answer.

I'm always still in trouble again

He said nothing about armed guards and plenty about unstable people being able to access weapons. Did you not quite grasp why he is upset?

Actually he has spoken out against the idea of armed guards in schools protecting students but has armed guards for himself.

I would have thought that if anybody had a right to speak out about unstable people getting ready access to weapons it's David Hogg, having personally witnessed his own schoolmates being shot and killed. But I guess not, seeing as he's been given armed protection from those who seem to hate him for it.

It is the utter hypocrisy of the Camera Hogg who wants to take guns away from everyone and then surrounds himself with armed guards. And in New York City where they have very strict gun control laws. It's almost like he doesn't believe what he's preaching.

Armed bodyguards seem generally to be reasonably effective at protecting an individual person whom they are only a few yards away from - most world leaders have them. (Obviously not always effective, e.g. JFK)

Whereas, having an armed guard on site seems generally to be woefully ineffective at defending something as large, spread-out, and heavily populated as a school. The various recent school shootings in the US have had up to 3 armed guards or cops present on site at the time of the incidents and it's had no effect.

David Hogg has never said he wants "to take guns away from everyone", merely that sensible controls be put in place.

BTW: Your snide comment previously about only wanting to promote his book is somewhat out of place, given that Hogg and his sister (and co-author) have stated their intention to donate all proceeds to charity.

I want to take guns away from (pretty much) everyone.

Sadly not anywhere close to all progressives agree with my position, never-mind everyone else.

So do I as per more enlightened countries like yours and mine. But that's not the argument Hogg is making in the context of gun-happy USA.

Looks like Starlight ignored this case.

                        - The difference between an AR-15 and a hunting rifle is superficial. During the era of the assault weapons ban, no decrease in mass shootings happened from before, during, and after. This will not prevent a mass shooting, next.

                        - High capacity magazine limits didn’t prevent any mass shootings in California or other ones. It takes less than 3 seconds to change out a magazine. Plus, millions are already out there.

                        - Not a single mass shooter got their guns from the supposed ‘gun show loophole’.

Nope, not a single mass shooting prevented.

Kinda like the Clintons, maybe - their own "charity".
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

Why does anyone care what a high school teenager thinks we should do about anything, one way or another?

So, the boy is now protesting at NRA... with ARMED GUARDS to protect him.

Can't provide link due to excessive F bombing.

Which includes surrounding himself with armed guards in places where ordinary folks not only don't have that option but also have a nearly impossible time getting one to protect themselves with.

The foul-mouthed Camera Hogg is the worst sort of self-righteous hypocrite
