The odds of being struck by lightning vs being shot at school may have been better in the past, but probably not now. It's likely that school shootings will be higher than both shark attacks and lightning strikes this year.

Article averages out from 1999 to the Florida shooting and says 50 million students go to school per year, over 180 school days, with 200 being killed during that same period. They said that averages to 1 in 614,000,000 using those metrics. You should know Roy that you can’t use a single year to set a trend because next year might not be as high. Sounds like a whole lot of fear over something that is very unlikely to happen.
