Why would you want to do that and miss the fun of watching the left have a collective conniption every time he posts?

From BBC (And for starlight's benefit that does not stand for Breitbart Central or something like that):

Source: Germany: Migrants 'may have fuelled violent crime rise'

Migrants may be responsible for most of a recent rise in violent crime in Germany, research commissioned by the government suggests.

The study used data from Lower Saxony, a state where more than 90% of the rise was attributed to young male migrants.

The researchers say the findings are not surprising because many migrants who arrived in Germany in recent years are single males aged 14-30.

This group is most likely to commit crime, irrespective of nationality.

The researchers also said that migrants were twice as likely to be reported to police for alleged violent crimes as German nationals.

The report comes as Chancellor Angela Merkel's centre-right CDU/CSU prepares for coalition talks with the centre-left SPD.

Both groups were seen as being hurt by their apparently liberal migration policies in September's election.

The report used statistics from Lower Saxony - regarded as an average state - where police saw an increase of 10.4% in reported violent crimes in 2015 and 2016.

Based on figures from the state's interior ministry, which keeps a separate record of alleged crimes by migrants, the report suggested that 92.1% of this increase was attributable to migrants.

Lower Saxony has seen a significant increase in arrivals of migrants in recent years.

However, the researchers also said that a third of all victims of violent crimes by migrants were other migrants.

The researchers said that the best chance of reducing violent crime among migrants was to offer more help with integration through language courses, sport and apprenticeships.

But it said that many male migrants fell into the 14-30 age category, the most likely to commit violent crime.

The lack of women and families among the migrants also meant that those young men were deprived of a "violence-preventing, civilising force", the study said.

I seem to remember another poster here hand waving reports that the lion's share of those that fled to Europe in the last few years were young males (essentially heroically abandoning the women and children to their fate) as being nothing but a right wing meme

                And from Newsweek:

Source: MIGRANTS IN EUROPE LINKED TO SOARING VIOLENCE AND CRIME IN GERMANY, STUDY FINDS

Germany university found that a 10.4 percent increase in violent crime was linked to an influx of migrants into the country's southern region.

The increase in crime took place in 2015 and 2016 at the height of the European migration crisis, when German Chancellor Angela Merkel ignored E.U. rules and allowed an open-door policy for migrants entering the state from war-torn Syria.

More than 90 percent of the 10.4 percent increase in reported violent crimes was attributed to young male migrants in Germany's southern state of Lower Saxony, according to a new study from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. A huge wave of migrants flooded into the European Union in 2015 from countries through Greece and Turkey that led to more than one million migrants applying for asylum in Germany.

The study funded by Germany's Ministry of Family Affairs found that many violent crimes reported by police in that time linked to male migrants between 14 and 30 years old, according to Deutsche Welle. Violent crimes were significantly less likely to be committed by male migrants from Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria than they were by male migrants from northern Africa, the study said.

And from the Daily Telegraph last year:

Source: Migrant crime in Germany rises by 50 per cent, new figures show

The crime rate among migrants in Germany rose by more than 50 per cent last year, according to new figures that have raised concerns the populist far-Right may seize on the issue in the run-up to September’s elections.

The number of suspected crimes by refugees, asylum-seekers and illegal immigrants rose to 174,438 in 2016 — an increase of 52.7 per cent, according to the interior ministry.

“This is not something to gloss over,” Thomas de Maiziere, the interior minister, said as he presented the figures. “Those who commit serious offences here forfeit their right to stay here.”

Crimes by migrants had “increased disproportionately” even when the huge influx into Germany under Angela Merkel’s “open-door” refugee policy was taken into account, he said.

I was actually curious to look up some German sources yesterday on this, so I googled for Germany's biggest newspaper, and used google translate to get me an English version. Here is their article (google translation typos and errors present)...

Trump's number on crime in Germany has no basis:

Crime in Germany is at its lowest level since 1992 . From 2016 to 2017 , crimes of burglary, theft and street crime have declined by a total of 9.6 percent. This emerges from the latest police crime statistics (PKS), the Federal Interior Minister Horst Seehofer presented in May to the public.

That did not stop US President Donald Trump from claiming in a tweet on Monday that crime had risen in Germany, and to present his own numbers a day later. Since Germany received more migrants, "crime" has increased by ten percent, [claimed] Trump on Twitter [saying] The officials in Germany would not have wanted to report these numbers [and that] America should behave "smartly"...

It is not the first time that Trump has responded to a false and criticized tweet by reiterating his claim. "Double Down" is the term used in the American language - a term from the gambling game Black Jack... Trump will not convince a critic with this rhetorical trick - but with his followers he demonstrates his firm conviction of his "truth"...

The police crime statistics is not uncontroversial: Experts criticize that there are listed only the cases that come to light - especially in sex offenses, the dark figure could be estimated to be significantly higher... The statisitc is therefore not the wisdom final conclusion when it comes to the assessment of crime. There are no signs of deliberate manipulation, as Trump claims. These are reliable figures from the German police authorities...

At least with reference to the [Police Crime Statistics], Trump's statement can not be supported. It is unclear how Trump comes to ten percent. The President is known for not paying too close attention to the truth. The statistical collection of crime is complex and there are many more statistics covering different areas. However, it is unlikely that Trump came to his assessment of "crime" through a long-term evaluation of all studies. More likely, he simply invented the number.

Another article from a month ago, just on crime, no reference to Trump:

In Germany, the crimes in 2017 have fallen by almost ten percent:

"Germany has become safer," said Federal Interior Minister Horst Seehofer (CSU) on Tuesday in Berlin at the presentation of police crime statistics 2017 . Whether in the event of burglary, theft or street crime, the crime rates found in 2017 declined year-on-year, totaling 9.6 percent. Also with violent offenses, rape or bodily injury pleasing declining case numbers are to be announced. This concerns both German and non-German suspects, said Seehofer: "It also decreased the outgoing of refugees crime."

After immigration debates and numerous warnings, especially from the CSU may surprise the police findings.

...the long-term comparison shows, according to the Federal Interior Minister, that crime has not been as low since 1992 as it was in 2017 . The number of thefts decreased by 11.8 percent compared to 2016 . In the case of car thefts, the decline was 8.6 percent, with pickpocketing 22.7 percent, with flat dwellings even 23 percent. Violent crime also registered a 2.4 percent drop .

According to statistics, the proportion of suspects without a German passport has fallen compared to the previous year.

The balance was mixed when it came to politically motivated violence. Right-wing extremist violence declined by just under 13 percent, but made up the lion's share of political crimes in 2017 . 312 attacks on asylum-seeker homes were counted. Anti-Semitic offenses increased by 2.5 percent. They are "almost 95 percent right motivated," said Seehofer. Violence offenses increased by 15.6 percent in the left spectrum , especially because of the riots at the G-20 summit in Hamburg, the minister said. The police have also registered significantly more Islamist crimes.

It's worth noting that the Minister Horst Seehofer quoted above giving the crime statistics is the lead anti-migration voice in the German government. If immigrants were causing more crime, he would absolutely be covering it. But he's the one presenting the police statistics, and acknowledging that there's actually less crime both from Germans and non-Germans alike.
