  • A disagreement with Mr Peters

I have to disagree with you on something. I dont think the problem is that churches are afraid to talk about sex. No. I think the problem is that the church has no idea what questions to ask? I have heard plenty of sermons about marriage and sex. How many sermons are there about addiction? About the arguements against marriage and the issues of mens rights and feminism in an intelligent light? How about the importance of fathers for instance? Besides if christians are so scared to talk about sex explain Sheila Way Gregoire. The truth as i see it is that many want to talk about it but answers evade them.

Maybe you have the right church? I've been to quite a few churches and I don't think I've ever heard a sermon about sex (other than when I went to youth camp and they brought in an abstinence speaker).

I will say I don't agree with Robert Gagnon that it should come up once a month, though.

"I am not angered that the Moral Majority boys campaign against abortion. I am angry when the same men who say, "Save OUR children" bellow "Build more and bigger bombers." That's right! Blast the children in other nations into eternity, or limbless misery as they lay crippled from "OUR" bombers! This does not jell." - Leonard Ravenhill

I don't know if I said they're afraid. I suspect more likely they just don't want to bring stuff like that into the pulpit. Perhaps it should stay at home with the parents, except the parents don't know what to say because the churches don't equip them.

Much like I don't want to watch a sporting event and be lectured about politics, I don't go to church to hear a sermon about sex ed. That's not to say the church shouldn't talk about it but there is a time and a place for everything

I'm always still in trouble again

"You're by far the worst poster on TWeb" and "TWeb's biggest liar" --starlight (the guy who says Stalin was a right-winger)
"Overall I would rate the withdrawal from Afghanistan as by far the best thing Biden's done" --Starlight
"Of course, human life begins at fertilization that’s not the argument." --Tassman

              All most a catch 22.
