Looks like 8 of the 13 trapped have been rescued so far

I'm always still in trouble again

They are tomorrow right now -- looks to be 14 hours ahead of California time.

        Yay. Eight rescued thus far.

The submarine probably won't make it to Thailand in time.

I sort of think the submarine, if it can work at all, might be useful for getting some remaining people out -- if the water levels rise. The submarine idea could be helpful for people that would be overcome by fear of diving.

I wonder if the coach will be able to exit in more extreme situations than the youths. But I think the coach was in bad condition -- maybe for the earliest attempts to get the youths to safety or to seek an exit before the rescue.

Ok. Had a friend in S. Korea for a while...had to deal with the dateline. That was ages ago.

                Major kudos to the rescuers.

I'm seeing reports there are still members of the rescue team inside.

They had to take quite a bit of materiel in, so I'm wondering if they're recovering oxygen bottles, equipment, stuff like that.... don't really know. OR, maybe they need to be resupplied with fresh oxygen bottles.

That's a part that really baffled me -- I know from mining that it's not unusual to drag a long air hose in to supply the 'pockets' with fresh air, and I realize this was quite a haul.... it will be interesting to read the book that comes from this.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that those air hoses wouldn't be leak proof. Also perhaps that the diameter of such feeds would be too big....
