I could only afford slightly warm wheel car pieces.

As I noted, the vast majority of voter registrations have associated social security information. Most people do use photo IDs in most states. Nothing will prove "NO" fraud is going on. That will never be possible. But the available evidence tells us voter fraud is minimal.

"Ripe for fraud" and "fraud is happening" are two different things. I don't know anyone that disputes the former. And I don't know anyone that isn't for putting reasonable control in place, including VoterID. The issue is doing so in a way that doe snot disenfranchise legitimate, existing voters.

So even if they did get a photo ID, many of these people would be unable to vote.
Who said they are "likely homeless?" The two ladies in our town have homes. Most of the examples of people blocked from voting that I have seen online are people with homes. Where on earth did you get that they are "homeless?"

For the record, even a homeless person can vote in Vermont (not sure about other states). They typically do that by using the address of a commonly accessed shelter.

How good would a picture of some-one at a few days old be for voter identification?

No. It's much harder to kill some-one with a ballot-paper than it is with a car.

Babies don't get here (yet) without parents. They're usually listed on that little piece of paper, as well. And, I think you're stretching it - I've never heard of a poll worker asking for a birth certificate. And the people for whom I have been working to get proper ID are required to provide more than just a birth certificate - like proof of residency, usually in the form of a water bill, rent payment, mail sent to them at their address... Trying to get a temporary driver permit for my granddaughter, they're demanding a VOE, as well - verification of enrollment in a public school.

You take a ballot-paper, I'll take a car, and meet me in the ally. We'll see who's still standing when the dust clears.

That's an idiotic response. You can change an entire country with a fraudulent election. Just look at the mess the USA is in with mere rumors of election interference two years ago. I am sure the democrats would be all for making sure our polls and voting booths are protected against Russian interference, yes? But apparently not enough to require a mere photo ID to ensure that no fraud is happening? Makes no sense, other than they have no problem with voter fraud as long as they think it would benefit them.

You weren't talking about fraudulent elections, you were talking about individuals voting.
