I just don't have the patience and I generally reply I have a secret. Whenever they get to be a handful I can decide it's time to leave. I couldn't or wouldn't do that if they're mine.
I dunno, if you had the patience to retrain special needs workers every day, I think you'd be able to handle children.

Actually twice a day. They literally forgot everything when they went out for lunch. And as I told my boss who said I was the most patient person she ever met since I never got flustered or raised my voice, you are confusing patience with stubbornness -- which I have an overabundance of. I was bound and determined to teach them come hell or high water and realized getting upset would be counter-productive. Unfortunately I never did train them in that I left the job a month or so later for other reasons.

And having to do that twice a day for five minutes is a long shot from doing it day in and day out for at least 18 years.

I'm always still in trouble again

The same principle, I think, would apply just as well to children. You'd find a way, because you'd have to.

Nope. As I said, I know myself far better than anyone else does.

Am I the only one that loves dogs and cats?

                  Is it a REAL Pixie?
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

I think it might be a fairy acting like a pixie.

I've encountered plenty of dogs I like, but wouldn't want one as a pet; I'm regularly away from home for 12 hours at a time.

Honestly, I’ve had just about every pet you can imagine. Fish, dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits, birds, snakes, etc. We currently have a dog, cat, fish, hamster, and a snake.

Your pet does have to comply to your lifestyle. I only had fish before I got married due to easy of others caring for them when I had to leave and little attachment if they died while I was gone.

Fish aren't pets, they are decorations.
