I have no issues with those who face actual gender dysphasia as diagnosed by a doctor. But the whole issue has gone so much farther than that that it has become ridiculous, as indicated by the story in the op.

I think the official diagnosis of dysphoria is appropriate for legal purposes, like how a doctor needs to certify you having a disability in order to get a handicap parking sign. I also think the liberals who would be upset with this practice would be more amenable if transpeople faced less prejudice and there were fewer cultural and financial barriers to diagnosis/treatment.
