  • A More Christ-like God

Some professing Christian's today desire a more "Christ-like" God. Not like the often violent, wrathful deity of OT, they say.

..the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know and will cut him in pieces and put him with the hypocrites..

..And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell..

..He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS..

Like Father, like Son, I say.

Christ is a king after all. He is also your king.

Can you clear up for me what your point is in this post. Anyone who sees the difference you point out has pretty much failed to examine scripture.
Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
