      It most certainly does convey what type of marriage.
      Then you should be able to tell us what type of marriage that cake conveys.
      A swastika can be a benign Native American symbol or it can be the symbol of the Nazis. Same design, different meaning depending on the context.
      And you're back to talking about design/decoration again, which you've already admitted is irrelevant.

          Cakes are traditional symbols of celebrating events. Even you should know that.

                    Certainly they are. For those doing the celebrating such as the happy couple and friends, not the professional artisans and helpers. The cake-maker is no more "celebrating the event" than the hiring company erecting the marquee in the back garden.
