  • GOP rep. Chris Collins arrested for insider trading.

The first member of Congress to support Trumps Presidential bid and served as Congressional liason to the Trump transition team, is arrested and charged with insider trading, securities fraud, wire fraud, and lying to the FBI. But the miasma of lying republican swamp creatures doesn't seem to be registering in the minds of the republican constituency just yet. The fish rots from the head down people and Trump is the king of the swamp creatures.

    Ah, guilt by association.

If Mr. Collins is guilty, then he deserves to be prosecuted.

Trump said he would hire all the best people. Seems that by all the best people, he meant all the biggests crooks, like himself.

And that will be determined in time in accordance with due process, I'd hope.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

Still waiting for evidence on that. I'm sure you'll supply some any minute now.

So Democrat Sen Robert Menendez is a swamp creature and Obama is guilty by proxy, correct?

Transition liason. Are you telling me that you still don't see the swamp creatures that Trump is surrounding himself with? What am I saying, of course you can't see it! So embarrassing!

What is stunning is the sheer number of different swamp monsters in Trump's cabinet. Easily the most corrupt and swamp-filled cabinet in US history by far. Would be worth a thread of its own simply listing all the various corruption issues throughout the cabinet... trouble is the OP would be pages long with all the links to different articles about their corruption. Scott Pruitt alone had run up a count of 15 ongoing federal investigations into his misconduct before he was forced out, and then he was promptly replaced by a lobbyist. And its not like the appointees in the other departments are much better - it's truly stunning.

                          What about Grant's?

The influence of corporate power in Trump's White House...Manafort, Cohen etc and now Chris Collins...is hardly the promised "draining of the swamp". Under Trump the "swamp" just gets ever more swampy.

They're in denial, Jim, as well they might be.

So... Trump might only have the 2nd most corrupt administration in US history? Great.

Obviously the main historical examples of corrupt administrations to compare Trump to would be Grant, Harding, Nixon, and Reagan. ...

IMO that article is being overly kind to the Trump administration because it only references in passing a tiny few of the never-ending cascade of corruption scandals coming out of Trump's cabinet. "...several of his Cabinet heads are being investigated for profligate travel expenses" is the least important of the dozens and dozens of corruption issues with Trump's cabinet.
