American Business owner: We have to raise our prices to cover the increase in wages
Consumer: We want cheaper goods!!
American Business owner: We can't be cheaper because we have to pay our people more
Foreign Business owner: We can be cheaper because our wages are lower and we have a trade agreement with the US to provide them at a lower cost than US made goods
Conservatives: Higher wages are causing suppliers to get goods from other nations at a cheaper price. We have to level the field with tariffs.
Foreign Government: You raise our tariffs and we raise yours!
