Bob Woodward is a Pulitzer Prize winning highly respected investigative journalist and author of five books on US Presidents, as well as a part of the investigative duo who uncovered the political scandals of Richard Nixon. Hardly "yellow journalism" and all the more convincing in that it reinforces much of what we've been learning from numerous other sources.

I guess you missed the posts earlier in the thread where James Mattis is on record saying that Woodward's quotes attributed to him are fiction; and that Woodward's former partner Carl Bernstein was recently busted for blatantly lying in an article he wrote for CNN, not to mention getting burned by his own "anonymous" source who he had lied to protect.

So, yeah, it's typical "sources say" yellow journalism. Somebody should dig into their reporting on Watergate and see how much of it really checks out. A Pulitzer prize for journalism is no guarantee of truth and is often just an award for telling the most convincing lies.

The economy was already improving steadily from the Obama era, except that Trump has given huge tax cuts to the top few and increased the U.S. debt to an unsustainable record $25 trillion. Whilst Trump implied that “almost 100 percent” of ISIS territory was liberated under his watch this is simply untrue just as North Korea has promised to denuclearise lots of times already. Trump was duped by a smarter operator. As for “strength in world affairs” the rest of the world is getting on without him because of his insane policy of isolationism. Only an idiot would believe otherwise.
