The fact that Feinstein sat on this accusation for weeks throughout Kavanaugh's numerous background checks, throughout his dozens of private interviews with her fellow senators, throughout one of the most grueling confirmation hearings in recent memory, suggests that even she doesn't believe it and is only using it now as a Hail Mary to derail the nomination.

Not to mention the fact that 65 women have come forward as character witnesses to defend Kavanaugh.

BTW: On the topic of Kavanaugh - that is a wholly different matter. It is clear he has not lived his life in a way that would lend credence to the accusation. People make really stupid mistakes in their youth, especially in college, especially in the sexuality/party arena. and it is possible this could be one of them. However, so far nothing other than this one letter exists to establish any sort of pattern or tendency that would indicate it is likely to be true. And many people that know the man have said this does not match the man they know. Further, the lady does have extremist ties to the left, which lends credence to the notion she is motivated to take out Kavanaugh. So it is going to be a while before we know if there is any reality here. And it would be foolish to accept blindly there is any reality to it. And I would not be averse to arguing that even if it is true - it is not something that should drive the decision to confirm unless a pattern of similar behavior can be established.

You ask, "How many others?" and the answer is... none that are credible. During the campaign we had a woman claiming that Trump raised the armrest in a first class airline cabin and groped her, despite the fact that armrests in first class cabins are fixed; another woman accused him of groping her at a concert that never happened; a woman reporter claimed that Trump groped her during an interview but was refuted by eyewitnesses who present at the time; a woman claimed that Trump sexually harassed her on the TV show The Apprentice and found the experience so traumatizing that she stayed in active contact with him for years afterward and even asked him for help with starting her own business (wait, what?); and on it goes. And then they all suddenly disappeared as soon as the election was over. "How many others?" indeed.

This is not to say that Trump's past behavior is particularly moral in this regard, especially when discussing martial fidelity, but there is nothing to suggest that he is "sexually aggressive".

You're not wholly wrong here. Trump has certainly been sexually aggressive in the past, and Republicans should have a problem with that (Democrats, not so much, given their heroes JFK, his brother Ted, LBJ, Clinton).

Wouldn't you think this girl would have gone to the high school's authorities and complained?

Wouldn't you think she would have gone to her parents with her complaint?

Also, Kavanaugh is a judge. Wouldn't you think she would have brought this up when he became a judge or started practicing law?

Wouldn't you think she would have gone after him long ago?

And what about the other guy who was involved? Did she or is she planning to go after him too?
