Anyway its still years in the future. I need a couple of years of experience with IT here, before I go working in the US, but its always been a dream of mine.

I have just spent the last 30 minutes digging into this, and so far what I have found is that all of the news stories I have chased are on right-leaning media outlets, and all of the ones I chased trace back to info wars. So it seems to me there are two possibilities: there is a vast left-wing conspiracy to bury this news - or there is a viral outbreak of fake news on the right.

Whichever it is, any story that traces back to Alex Jones is VERY low on my credibility list....

well you could actually try to check out the information. I did.

I looked up the blazer and it does look just like what she is wearing and it does cost around $2K

There's not much to explain. Someone's personal spending habits have nothing to do with federal and corporate financial equality laws/regulations/systems.

So she WAS wearing a $3,500 suit. Which means Carp's reluctance to accept the claim because it came from Alex Jones was a cop-out.

And IF she truly was just given the outfit for a photoshoot in a magazine that shows her posing with the "working class" common folk, then the magazine and Cortez is completely blind to what they are actually promoting in the shoot. The shoot is supposed to associate her with the working class, but by wearing a $3500 suit, she is not only appearing to be hypocritical, but to actually be mocking them. Pretty sure the "workers" were just models too.

So utter fail.

Honestly I don't see the issue. If she dressed as a worker, I doubt she'd be more favoured by the right-wing media.

I don't think anybody would have wanted her to "dress as a worker" - that would be bad optics, too --- she could have just dressed like she did when she was campaigning.

If she was older, they'd criticise her for being old.

Since she's young they criticise her for being young.

Only in the regard that she is totally inexperienced and hasn't a clue what socialism is - she's all over the map in interviews on things like geography and policy.

That's when he expressed his lack of interest in this, and said he'd probably be unsubscribing. Couldn't just admit, "oh, well, that's a different story...."

THAT, sir, is the whole point -- regardless for who she "credits" with providing the outfit, the optics work against her. At this point, there doesn't seem to be any denying that she was "dressed to the nines" (whatever that means) for a photoshoot supposedly portraying her as a "working class girl" in touch with common people.
