    • This thread appears to have veered wildly off-topic. I guess folks are no longer interested in the "Manafort fesses up" nothing-burger.

"What's on the menu today, Bob?"
      "The usual: nothing-burgers."
"You make the best nothing-burgers, Bob."

"Then, something happened that would get reported, mostly inaccurately, in perhaps 1,000 newspapers, blogs and media outlets. Because I was recognized by a large number of participants, I began greeting people who approached me. I talked that day to what seemed like 500 people in a 15-hour period ending at 11:30 p.m. One of those well-wishers was carrying a recording device, and he suddenly appeared before me and held a microphone in my face. He asked for my impressions from the day.

I spoke candidly for about 20 seconds, as I recall. Then he disappeared. "

He's denying making an announcement, which was my intended meaning. You may have understood something else.

He also denied knowing about any renewed religiosity:

He denied making a formal announcement, but admits having communicated that Trump had turned to Christ.
He also denied knowing about any renewed religiosity:
This is a rather greater stretch on your part; if Trump "appears to be tender to the things of the Spirit", that would indeed be evidence of renewed religiosity. The only thing he's denying here is certainty, which I would expect him to do regardless of the person being discussed.

All in all, this is hardly a "decapitation" - merely your usual picking of nits. You may have gotten a solid hit on that first nit, but it's still a nit.

I guess what you call casting aspersions, is the stating of a fact.

Well, no. You did state a fact, but you and I both know that your intent in doing so was to cast aspersions - or do you pretend that you think Christians doing something makes it a good thing?

OK, which of Mueller's indictments has any direct implications for the Trump campaign?
