It doesn't look like that at all. The special counsel has secured multiple indictments, and an agreement with Paul Manafort that could pose a threat to Trump. That's more than "a few folks blowing smoke".

Trump's tax returns are quite long I imagine, so I'm sure there's nebulous wrong stuff in there, some tax loopholes and a bit of 'legal crime' (as we like to call it in Denmark). But I don't think there's anything explosive in there.

This is turning into the Democrats version of the birther stuff. Not quite as outlandishly crazy as the idea that Obama was a secret muslim, or not born in the US. But its something they should just move on from.

So I take it you haven't seen the story that's been blowing up over the last 24 hours, where the NYT has broken a bombshell story about how the Trumps evaded taxes on a grand scale and how Trump's father was able to funnel $400 million to Trump via over 200 different revenue streams aimed at evading the inheritance taxes, and how the NY tax authorities are launching a big investigation?
"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump
"Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism" - George Orwell
"[Capitalism] as it exists today is, in my opinion, the real source of evils. I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy" - Albert Einstein

What is this supposed to change? Seriously.
I guess the only outstanding question is "how much tax fraud is acceptable from the President before there should be talk about impeaching him for it?"
More pertinently, is it acceptable to impeach someone for a nonprosecutable (since well past the statute of limitations) offense?

And it's illegal and if caught the billionaires should suffer the same consequences as the non-billionaires do. Apparently the statute of limitations has passed on most of these reported million dollar tax fraud crimes of Trump, but he is still liable to civil penalties should he be found guilty. Turns out that this self acclaimed, self made billionaire, whose father only lent him a mere million dollars (as if that's preanuts) with which he used to build his empire, was actually a millionaire at the age of 8 and through his tax fraud actually accrued approximately 413 million dollars from his dad. Of course he lost it all, and then when U.S. banks would no longer loan to him, Russia stepped in and saved his butt.

What? So you think he's atoned for his past sins and no longer gives the American people the middle finger when filing his taxes. Why do you think he still hasn't released his taxes? Must still be being audited, right? Sheep!

Jim, do you really think that Trump does his own taxes?

I assume that, since no one at the IRS has leaked them, there's nothing worth leaking.

My theory is simply because you want to see them, and he doesn't have to.

I certainly think he knows what is going on with his tax preparation, yes. Regardless, if he does them himself or not, he is responsible for them. Many people don't do their own taxes seer, but they are still responsible for what they file. Why do you people always try to make excuses for the crook. It's not like it's a secret that he has always been an unethical, thieving, nogoodnick. Apparently Trump even tried, to the chagrin of his dying father, to have his fathers will changed in his favor. According to the story his father was afraid that everything that he had built, would be lost by Trump just like he lost everything else given to him by his father.

Where there's smoke there's fire was said about Hillary, about Bush, about Clinton, and several other presidents and leaders I can think of. There is usually some element of truth to it.

When it comes to collusion, I personally believe you have to ignore a LOT of the evidence that has come forward to believe that the Trump administration did not in any way coordinate with Russia/Putin in 2015/2016. That being said, while I am convinced that relationship existed, I do not know its extent. It could be as simple as a few meetings trying to dig out dirt (which have been documented and Trump's attempts to cover them up have also been documented), or it could have been broader and deeper. If it is broader and deeper, it is still not clear to me it is illegal. But it could very well be a serious political problem for Trump.

Personally, I think the man is more corrupt than the swamp he claims to want to clean. He hasn't drained the swamp - he's kicked out it's former denizens and filled it with his own cronies. I will be very happy to see the backside of the man in 2020.

None of which had anything to do with Trump much less with any supposed collusion.
