She still lied when she claimed minority status as a native american in the Association of American Law Schools directory and was touted as an Indian by Harvard.

It's interesting that she would bring this up - it had largely fallen under the radar. I'm thinking it's not turning out like she or JimL hoped.

I would be surprised if anyone who's family has any history in the USA didn't have at least some native american in there somewhere. I have stories about some great-great-grandma being an indian in my family too.

I think most people would be feeling humiliated if they ran around claiming Indian heritage only for their DNA test to show less than 2% Indian DNA at best. Yet Warren and the mainstream media are acting like she's been totally vindicated. It's surreal.

The Dems could really use some "positive" news at the moment. I'm sure Trump will gift-wrap them something, but in the meantime....

Trump could have done a MUCH better job addressing the foolishness rather than flatly denying he said. It's true he didn't say what they claim he said - but he could have pointed that out and had a lot of fun with the percentages.

I say send her to the reservation. It obviously matters a great deal to her to claim that heritage, let her live it.

I'm not sure that Warren's evidence of her ancestry is working out quite like she hoped. The responses seem a little savage, actually. I still have my reservations.

It shows that between 6 and 10 generations ago, she has a Native American ancestor.

There is no fixed value. 1/32 is the minimum required to claim native American status and is a little over 3%. I have that but I've never claimed it. But I know my family tree. A DNA test is going to show how much of that DNA made it into her unique person, it can't prove exactly how recent that ancestor was. It shows she isn't 'making it up', but it also shows the ancestor is earlier than her great-great grandma or grandpa.

My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism. James 2:1

If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not  bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless James 1:26

This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; James 1:19

Sort of. The person who ran the test didn't have any Native American DNA to work with; based on the assumptions he made, it's not impossible her remote ancestor was East Asian.
