Do we have any Iowa Republicans here that can shed some light on Mr. Steve King.Glendower: I can call spirits from the vasty deep.

This article seems to misrepresent things.
I wasn't aware that the Republicans were anti-immigrant. Nor did the article show some drastic increase in support for extremist viewpoints. Was there some detail that seems to justify a big concern that led you to post here?
It seems a rare expectation for Democrats or Republicans to speak against other representatives in their parties seeing that the parties are often focused on getting majority votes on bills that are typically divided on party lines. Should Democrat party members reject the communists and socialists among them because of these extreme views? Is this what you are advocating?
Often people could vote for a candidate that isn't ideal yet is a person better than the candidate of the opposing party. I suppose that is partly where your question lies, since you wanted someone to post who was more familiar with the situation.
