I thought the whole idea of having Washington DC was so we would have a place to house the federal government that was completely uninvolved in influencing the federal government? Like a neutral zone.

One thing that's been largely ignored, what with the House races attracting nearly all the attention and the Senate getting anything left, are the governor's races. It looks likely that the Democrats could make some big gains there.

I did see one guy there trying to vote and he didn't have a valid ID. Apparently his license did not match up with his registered address or something and they made him leave without voting. He did not put up a fuss or anything. I heard them ask him if he had moved recently or something.

Unfortunately our Republican senate candidate is pro-abortion, pro-homosexual marriage and running smear campaigns against his opponent (who is a scumbag). I'll hold my breath and vote for him because of his party. If it weren't a close election, wouldn't bother. When I Survey....
