As far as I can tell - that is true.

Than asking CNN - yes. Not necessarily the other options. After all - they are now embroiled in a legal suit, have riled up the left (again) and continued to paint themselves as the "enemy of the press." All in all, I think they have done more damage to themselves than if they had taken another path. Except to Trump's, base, of course - they LOVE the choice. But Trump's base is not going to be enough to get him over the top. They need the moderates - and they are losing them.

I would put them on - but they are at the cleaner's. A little... umm... accident...

It depends on what you mean by "valid".

If CNN was clever, instead of whining and filling meritless lawsuits, they could have Acosta host an hour long special titled "Questions President Trump Won't Answer", and then he can pontificate to his heart's content, and invite Democrat politicians and pundits on to pontificate to their heart's content. And nobody will even try to take his precious microphone away.

I wouldn't say "embroiled". The suit is purely for show and will never make it to trial, and the left has been permanently "riled up" since Trump won the election.

In other words, business as usual.

Kinda like when you hear "The Arabs in Israel are upset....." When are they NOT?

A great idea! I hope they do it.

The removal of Acosta was an unabashed attempt to censor the press, in this instance CNN, by removing Acosta, its senior WH correspondent for no reason other than pushing for an answer to a reasonable question. Trump was, as is frequently the case, evading it. This is an abuse of the First Amendment against abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press and recognised by even Fox as setting a dangerous precedent.

Even if Trump let Acosta stay, do you think he would ever call on him again? CNN would do better to replace him with someone else at this point, even if his pass wasn't revoked.
Trump being Trump, I don't think he would be able to resist calling on him again, because he's compelled to get into those stick-measuring contests, so to speak.

Simply never calling on him again is what he probably SHOULD have done. Dana Perino suggested he should have just "iced him out," which she did with at least one problematic reporter back in the Bush 43 days. She firmly but UNOFFICIALLY told her whole staff to never speak with him again.
